Located in the heart of rapidly growing community of Yarrabilba, this new secondary college caters to hundreds of students every day.

Looking for exciting and productive classroom layouts, the staff approached Sebel to create engaging environments across the entire school that would encourage student collaboration.

It takes many ingredients to create the ultimate learning space, one that stirs creativity and encourages collaboration. A space where students are excited to learn, and teachers are inspired to teach.

We worked with Yarrabilba State Secondary College to turn their vision for their brand-new school into reality. Using furniture as a tool, we helped them create an educational environment that supports flexible, multiuse classrooms that nurtures students studying all different subjects, whether it be Maths, English or Science.

Making extensive use of our adaptable StingRay and Create-A-Space Table ranges, we carefully planned out the layout of each classroom to suit different learning modes. Some rooms were equipped with retractable walls to provide flexibility and the opportunity for team teaching.

Both staff and students love the difference in furniture and their exciting new spaces. The student resource centre features shelving, soft furnishing, breakaway spaces and areas for collaborative work, while the admin building and Science labs share the same sleek, contemporary décor. The school is now working with Sebel on fitting out more spaces.
