Sebel STANSW Young Scientist Student Wins Top Award

Sebel STANSW Young Scientist Oliver Nicholls has taken out the top award in the largest science fair in the world!

 

We are extremely proud of our STANSW Young Scientists for their astonishing efforts on the world stage at ISEF.

 

Pictured in centre is Oliver Nicholls from Barker College, who has been awarded the Gorden E. Moore Award of $75,000 – the top award at ISEF. The Moore Award recognised Oliver’s autonomous robotic window cleaner as the best of the best among outstanding students from around the world who participate in the Intel ISEF.

 

Jade Moxey and Macinley Butson from Bega and Illawarra won awards from the Qatar Foundation and a scholarship from the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity. They also won a 3rd place award in the Environmental Engineering category. 

 

Oliver, Jade and Macinley have all been winners in the STANSW Young Scientist Awards program. They were also winners at the national level in the BHP Billiton Science & Engineering Awards.
