The Explicit learning mode is a more traditional and direct modality, led by the instructor with delivery of knowledge and information to both small and large groups. This mode of learning does not generally invite debate, but encourages this through other structured modes.
Settings must ensure that the teacher is clearly visible and must be easily heard by the audience. Tiered settings work well, with low and standard seating as well as stand-at points so that students can express postural choice. Every seat must be the best seat in the house.
