The Independent learning mode is a space that invites the individual to separate from the cohort and encourages the student to drill down further into an issue or thought process. It is a selfdirected learning space where the student can determine the pace at which they learn.
Settings should include single seat settings in a quiet place. Soft or firm seating where the student can work alone. The settings also need to be ﬂexible should the individuals come together as a small group.
