A Guide To Hot Stamping

It’s all in the details at Sebel… which is why we’ve perfected the art of finishes. One of our most popular product finishing options is ‘Hot Stamping’.

Printed locally in Australia, ‘Hot Stamping’ is a method in which coloured foils are transferred directly onto the plastic surface of the chair or stool. It’s a highly durable method of printing school, business or community names and logos directly onto the surface of our chairs & stools, to give them an elevated and bespoke feel.

The process consists of a dye being mounted in a hot stamping machine, the dye is then heated with the chair placed beneath it. The coloured foil is inserted between dye and chair and the dye is pressed down through it. The coloured foil used is then impressed into the backrest of the chair or stool.

So now you know about Hot Stamping – the perfect way to put your mark on your learning or working space!
