Hit RePlay on your Sebel chairs.

We're on a mission to reduce plastic waste.

RePlay is our furniture recycling program. It’s our commitment to reducing plastic waste, by taking back well-loved Sebel chairs and giving them a second life as newly recycled chairs. By participating in our RePlay Recycling Program, you're contributing to a greener planet by diverting plastic from landfills. It's a win-win for you and the environment.

We’re excited about making old, new again! Right now, our RePlay recycling service is available only to Australian schools and companies. We hope to bring the program to New Zealand soon — stay tuned.

Over 460 tonnes of plastic waste would be diverted from landfill annually

if all our Postura chairs were returned through the RePlay program.

Recycling your chairs

Our process

We're busy at work after your chairs have been collected. Our in-house granulator chips down your end-of-life chairs into plastic pellets which are then used to mould new recycled plastic chairs... all under one roof!

How RePlay Works

Proudly Part of a Bigger Sustainability Commitment

RePlay is just one part of Sebel’s broader approach to responsible manufacturing and sustainable school furniture. From locally made products using recycled materials to low-waste production methods, we’re rethinking every stage of the product lifecycle.

We’re committed to creating a cleaner, more circular future by:

  • Giving our iconic products a second life with RePlay.

  • Diverting furniture waste from landfill

  • Integrating recycled plastics into our product range.

  • Reducing our emissions and energy consumption by switching to electric vehicles, and installing solar panels and heat pump systems at our sites.

This is just the beginning - our journey toward sustainability is ongoing, and we’re proud to be leading the way in responsible manufacturing.
