Sustainability is an ongoing commitment. Since 2020, we’ve cut CO₂ emissions by 55% and earned a Toitū Carbon Reduce Certification, with greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) measured in accordance with ISO 14064-1:2006.
We monitor our progress monthly through energy cost reviews and conduct a full analysis annually.

Most furniture ends up in landfill. Through our Replay recycling program, we recover used Sebel chairs, grind the plastic down and remake it into new ones. It’s a fully closed loop — and it’s already happening.

RePlay is our furniture recycling program. It’s our commitment to reducing plastic waste by taking back well-loved Sebel chairs and giving them a second life as newly recycled chairs.

Engineering is the critical bridge between design and manufacture. We deliberately over-engineer our products, with all departments working closely together to build in strength, durability and effectiveness from the very beginning.
We operate two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Sydney, Australia and Hastings, New Zealand — giving us direct control over the consistent quality of every product we make. Working with trusted suppliers, our highly skilled team use only the very best materials.
We have a deep belief in lifetime products and offer some of the longest warranties in the industry. Our products are designed, developed and engineered to last – durability is an important part of sustainability, so we thoroughly test everything we create in real-world environments.
We put everything under the microscope, looking for safe, healthy materials robust enough to meet our high standards. Our Performance Edge tabletops are FSC Certified, and we use non-hazardous materials including ‘EO’ melamine board, harmless glues and non-toxic raw materials throughout.
