Each testing standard and certification we hold is a mark of assurance - confirming that our products, processes, and people meet trusted national and international standards.
Every Sebel product is designed, engineered and manufactured to meet strict performance standards. From materials selection to structural design and lifecycle testing, we build furniture that can withstand everyday use in the most demanding environments.
Our in-house testing facility is independently accredited by NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities), giving us the capability to rigorously test our products against recognised national and international standards. This includes strength, stability, durability and safety assessments on components, assemblies and full products.
Because we control the entire process - design, manufacture and testing - we can validate performance, refine designs, and ensure every product meets specification before it reaches a classroom, office or stadium.
The ISO 14001 certification shows Sebel has an EMS in place, and continually improves our environmental performance. By adhering to this standard, Sebel can ensure we are taking proactive measures to minimise our environmental footprint, while complying with relevant legal requirements, and achieving our environmental objectives.
Sebel is an approved Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria Government Supplier under the following contracts: QED 104526 SOA, NSW Office and Education Furniture Contract 771, VIC Schools, Office and Education Furniture Panel VIC ITS01.
Our testing programmes are designed to evaluate how products will perform over time in high-use environments. This includes:
Long-term durability under repetitive use
Load capacity and structural strength
Stability and safety under typical conditions
Material performance, fit and finish
Compliance with relevant industry standards
Products are tested to EN, AS/NZS or specific performance criteria shaped by decades of industry experience.
We choose materials and engineering solutions that balance aesthetics, comfort and long-term performance.
Better design upfront means fewer replacements, lower environmental impact, and furniture that continues to feel good, function well and look smart - long after installation.
