The evolution of Bodyfurn®

After designing the ideal classroom chair for schools, the more contemporary Bodyfurn® Flex range has been developed with the needs of senior students and adults in mind to best support higher education settings. The key improvements made for the Bodyfurn® Flex range include a larger seat pan, recycled materials, a modern biophilic design, enhanced dynamic movement and minimal welding with a press together assembly process.

As part of Resero’s goals to lower our environmental impact and develop more recycled products, the Bodyfurn Flex plastic component is comprised of 92% post-consumer recycled products. The recycled waste is broken down and melted into PCR pellets which are then mixed with 8% anti-static additive, UV stabiliser, impact modifier and colour additives before being moulded into the chair. This allows the chair to encompass the biophilic colour options whilst still providing the quality promised.

  • Weight (load) specification:  tested to 135kg user weight

  • Options: premium padded seat for extra comfort – high density polyurethane foam. Fabric is heavy commercial, fire rated and Oeko-Tex certified. seat pad can be reupholstered and retrofittable.
