The Progress Chair’s story begins in 1986 with its predecessor, the Program Chair — a genuinely revolutionary product. Its patented flex technology introduced a flexible backrest that delivered superior comfort without compromising durability, setting a new industry standard. Over the decades, real-world feedback and continuous R&D shaped what the Program Chair would become: the Progress Chair.

In 2025 we launched the LUMBA Chair – the next generation of Progress. Our newest chair builds on the same principles of ergonomics, durability, and innovation — now with a fresh modern design, post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials, and five on-trend biophilic colourways. A sustainable, stylish evolution of everything the Progress Chair stood for.
